FAQs

Your booty burning questions answered.

  • Face masks are no longer mandatory at fitness centres, however if you feel more comfortable wearing one, go for it.

  • We’re doing our bit to ensure that the studio stays clean and sanitised between classes. Please use the hand sanitiser provided as you enter the studio. You’ll be asked to wipe down equipment you’ve used with anti-bacterial wipes before putting it back at the end of class.

  • It’s highly recommended that you pre-book your classes as we often reach capacity in advance. You can book your classes up to 2 weeks out. If the class is waitlist only, please do put yourself on the waiting list as spaces often come up.

  • Once you’ve signed up, download the Wellness Living app and use this to book into your classes and manage your account - easy peasy!

  • For first timers, we recommend you arrive around 10 minutes before class to allow enough time for your instructor to make you feel comfortable and to talk over any injuries, including pregnancy.

Once you’re settled in and attending Bloom on the regular, we ask that you arrive around 5 minutes before class. There are baskets in the studio for storing your keys and other small personal items. You can then find yourself a spot in the studio where you feel most comfortable.

  • All you need is a sweat towel and a drink bottle, and you’re good to go.

  • Your favourite activewear! We suggest breathable, comfortable and supportive gear - stretchy tights are great as they allow you to move freely. All classes are done without shoes, but we recommend comfortable sneakers for Remedy.

  • If you have grippy socks, wear them - otherwise, bare feet are fine (though your toes will thank you for socks in winter!). Although we have a range of fun designs available for purchase in the studio, the price is $20 per pair.

  • Our class cancellation policy is 8 hours before class commencement. This notice is essential for managing the class schedule. If you book a class and can't make it, please log in to change or cancel your booking.

If you are absent or cancel within 8 hours of the class start time, you will incur a $10 late cancellation/no show fee, as it often means another client is unable to attend.

We completely understand that things pop up that are out of your control, so please do not hesitate to email hello@bloombarre.com.au or a direct message to 0406 456 868, and we will waive the late cancellation/no show fee. Please note, we don't monitor Facebook and Instagram messages regularly.

  • Barre has been designed for anyone aged 16+ and will benefit clients of every fitness level! It is excellent if you’re just getting into exercise as the roots of the class were developed to rehabilitate and strengthen the body.

You’re allowed to take breaks, shake it out, have a drink, shake it out again, then jump back into the routine. The more classes you attend, the more you'll be able to do!

  • It is recommended that clients with injuries consult with their doctors before beginning any new exercise method. All instructors are highly trained to assist and modify any injuries or limitations. Be sure to let your instructor know before the class begins so they can give you the correct modifications and information to help you throughout the class.

  • Yes, of course, bring that beautiful bump along to class! Barre can continue to be a safe and effective exercise option while pregnant. Everyone’s pregnancy is different, so it is good to consult with your doctor to ensure they’re comfortable with you continuing to work out. Make sure to let your instructor know that you are pregnant so that they can walk you through any modifications you may need through different stages of pregnancy. Barre classes are an amazing way to prepare for labour (fitness + strong legs & butt are a big help during the contractions and active labour) and keep your body toned, making it much easier to regain your shape after baby is born.

  • Unfortunately, we can’t welcome children into the studio, but if they are 14 and over, they are more than welcome to join the class with you as a client!

  • Absolutely, men can do barre! It’s a very complimentary workout to other sports training.

  • NO! You don’t need any previous barre, pilates or yoga experience to come to our classes. Your teacher will provide options to suit all levels.

We use the barre - but that’s as far as dancing goes. Barre is a low-impact fitness class, meaning there is a low level of stress and safer on your joints.

  • We recommend new clients start with a Barre Fundamentals, Barre Flow or Barre class.

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t had any previous ballet, yoga or pilates experience, as your instructor will offer options for all levels. All of our classes are lots of fun, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy yourself and get a great workout!
